Our History
The need for a cost-effective option for skilled nursing care, medication administration, and therapeutic services, including activities that promote and maintain the lifestyle along with healthy meals and transportation, gave rise to Freedom Adult Day Healthcare.
The founder’s own paraplegic family member suffered from boredom and periodic isolation from family during a prolonged nursing home stay when in need of skilled nursing care, special medication administration, and personal care including rehab activities, healthy meals, and hygiene care. This experience prompted the establishment of Freedom as an adult daycare for the benefit of all beloved patients and their caregivers in Louisville and throughout Kentucky.
Our center is a win/win situation for patients and caregivers who can enjoy true freedom. Caregivers can enjoy the respite while patients are cared for with skilled nursing care, therapy, and activities. State-approved transportation is available.
Additionally, patients can enjoy the family environment with the assistance of paid caregivers in the home should they need assistance there.
Our Team
Our adult daycare center performs an intensive background check and drug screening on each staff member. The center will always have available services with staff that include:
- Experienced RN’s
- Registered Dietician
- Chef
- Activity Director
- Licensed Drivers
- Multilingual Staff Including English, Spanish, Nepali and many others.
Other health care professionals such as physical therapists and chiropractors are available as needed.
You can be sure your loved one’s physical, mental, and emotional needs will be met during those times you need to be away.
