Trusted by thousands of families across five states

Reliable, personalized home and community-based care—delivered by caregivers who understand the communities they serve and show up when it matters most.

Built by Community. Scaled With Purpose.

Freedom Senior Services was founded by immigrants and refugees who experienced firsthand the gaps in the care system for their own families and communities. What started as a small home care operation in Louisville, Kentucky, grew through deep community trust, word-of-mouth referrals, and a commitment to culturally responsive care that larger providers were not delivering.

Today, Freedom operates more than 20 locations across Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee, delivering three integrated service lines: personal attendant home care, adult day healthcare, and case management. Our workforce speaks the languages of the communities we serve. Our care plans respect the customs, preferences, and goals of every individual and family.

What Makes Us Different

Community-Embedded Model

Growth driven by trust within immigrant, refugee, and underserved communities. Ethnically focused care coordinators and community marketers generate referrals through relationships, not advertising.

Integrated Continuum

Home care, adult day, and case management under one care team. When needs change, the care plan adapts without a handoff to a new provider.

Multi-State Reach, Local Execution

Corporate infrastructure supports standardized quality and compliance across five states, while each location maintains community-level relationships and responsiveness.

Workforce Investment

Recruits from within the communities we serve, creating caregiver-client alignment that drives retention on both sides. Background checks, drug screening, and ongoing supervision ensure families can trust the people entering their home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to what families ask most. Don't see your question? Call 502-FREEDOM.

What's the difference between home care and adult day healthcare? +

Home care brings a personal attendant to your loved one's home for help with bathing, dressing, meals, medication reminders, companionship, and transportation. Adult day healthcare brings your loved one to a licensed day health center for skilled nursing oversight, therapy coordination, enrichment activities, nutritious meals, and door-to-door transportation. Many families combine both — home care on some days, adult day on others.

Where does Freedom Senior Services provide care? +

Freedom serves families across Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. Kentucky is our largest footprint, where we operate licensed adult day healthcare centers in addition to home care and specialized programs. Call 502-FREEDOM or visit the Locations page for the center nearest you.

What languages do your caregivers speak? +

We build multilingual care teams matched to each family's language and culture. Freedom was founded by immigrants who understand firsthand what it means to age in a country where your first language isn't English. When you request care, tell us what language your family speaks at home and we'll match where we can.

How do I request care or make a referral? +

Call 502-FREEDOM, email info@freedomsvs.com, or use the Request Care button on our homepage. A care coordinator will respond to schedule a no-obligation evaluation. For professional referrals from hospitals, physicians, or case managers, contact us at the same number — we coordinate with discharge planners and primary care teams every day.

What kinds of payment does Freedom accept? +

Freedom serves families paying privately, families using Medicaid waiver programs, and eligible veterans through VA-authorized programs. Coverage varies by state and service line. Call a care coordinator at 502-FREEDOM to walk through what applies to your situation — we'll explain options before any commitment.

Is transportation included with adult day healthcare? +

Yes. Our licensed adult day healthcare centers provide door-to-door transportation — we pick your loved one up in the morning and bring them home in the afternoon, every program day.

What happens after I request care? +

A care coordinator reaches out within one business day to schedule a no-obligation evaluation. We'll assess your loved one's needs, discuss your family's preferences, explain payment options, and propose a care plan. Care can typically start within a week depending on the services involved.
